About Happiness

I thought up this poem after trying to catch a dandelion seed. It probably wasn't actually a dandelion seed, but that's what I call those white seeds that float around in the wind. It was floating over my head and slowly descending. I waited until it came within reach and made a grab for it, and the air from my sudden movement pushed it up higher above my head. The wind caught it, and from there it went higher and higher until I could no longer see it. I got to thinking about what other things people lose by pursuing them the wrong way. The dandelion seed represents whatever you are looking to get out of life. I'm not saying you should ignore the dandelion seeds floating around you and just hope one falls in your pocket some day. I'm saying that when one gets close, don't fall to the temptation to make a grab at it before it gets away, but rather hold your hand out underneath it, or you may lose it forever.
