About On Fatherhood
As I indicated in the story, I have always found it easier to imagine being a father to a daughter than a son. One day I got to thinking about what it would be like to have a son. I hadn't really thought about it before, and in process of thinking about how I would try to raise my son, and how that would be different from raising daughters, I got the idea for this story. Of course, at the time I wrote this I wasn't married, and even now I do not have children. This is all just conjecture on what it might be like.
